Shooting Star

In the heavens I stare and wait
Will this shooting star fall before I fade
I was about to walk away
When I spot in sight
A star so bright in this stark cold night
In its luster I was taken
Do I believe it’s an omen
Am I to feel that in this barrenness
Should a miracle be witnessed
For this heavenly bodies engulf the skies
And my only wish
Is for you to hear my sighs
